National Gay and Lesbian Task Force

The National Gay Task Force was formed in 1973 by a group of former members of the Gay Activists Alliance. Bruce Voeller, Jean O'Leary, Frank Kameny, and Urvashi Vaid accused the organization of leading elitist politics and losing touch with the community and founded a new organization that proved to be the longest running in the United States.
