Marxism is the system of social and political theory about human life, historical development, the capitalist crisis, and the communist revolution developed by the German philosopher and economist Karl Marx along with his close friend and supporter Friedrich Engels during the middle and late 19th century and subsequently elaborated by their disciples from various backgrounds all over the world.
