Table soccer is a tabletop game based on the rules of field soccer. The table surface is rectangular and modeled after a soccer field. Figures are attached to eight rods that run perpendicular across the field and move side to side. Each player controls four rods, two for offense and two for defense. The two offensive rods generally contain five men and three men, respectively, while the two defensive rods have two men and one man, the one being the goalie. Players rotate the poles with their hand so the feet of their men contact the ball. The object of the game is to shoot the ball into the opponent's goal. Since there are eight rods in all, table soccer comfortably fits four players and is therefore considered a social game. ...
