Tiger Electronics manufactures and markets electronic games and toys. The company is distinguished by the novelty of its electronic products, creative marketing, and rapid implementation of new concepts. Tiger is best known for such products as its Furbies, Gigapets, and handheld LCD (liquid crystal display) games. Founded in 1978 by Randy Rissman and Roger Shiftman, who privately owned by the company, until 1998. Tiger Electronics is now owned by Hasbro. Much of Tiger Electronics early success stemmed from the small size of the company, allowing it to bring toys to market quickly and to capitalize on trends and fads.
