Waddingtons

Over a 73-year lifespan, Waddingtons defined the family board game in the United Kingdom (UK) and had great influence overseas, with many of their games published in other countries. Their long-standing relationship with Parker Brothers had a profound influence on the history of board games in the 20th century in both the UK and the United States, as almost all of the more successful games of one company were published by the other. A significant games publisher from the UK, Wad-dingtons was initially founded as a printing house at the end of the 19th century. The company entered the games market when it started to produce playing cards in 1922.
