What constitutes normal, healthy, and perhaps exceptional adjustment among youth confronted with life challenges imposed by two contrasting cultures? Similarly, what are the factors that promote healthy adjustment in Mexican American and other Hispanic adolescents? These two complex questions are examined in this chapter as they relate to the adjustment of Mexican American and other Hispanic youth, both native-born and immigrant.
