Calabresi, Paul (1930–2003)

Paul Calabresi was an Italian-born American oncologist whose research led to the development of pharmacological treatments for cancer. Calabresi was born to Massimo Calabresi and Bianca Maria Finzi-Contini Calabresi in Milan, Italy, on April 5, 1930. His family opposed the Fascist dictatorship of Benito Mussolini, and when Paul was nine, they moved to New Haven, Connecticut, where Paul attended Hopkins School.
