Administrative law is that part of the law that determines the organization, powers, and duties of administrative agencies charged with implementing public policies enacted by the legislature or by the government in the exercise of its executive powers. Administrative agencies comprise government departments, executive agencies, and a plethora of other statutory bodies that provide benefits, services, and licenses or that regulate economic and social activities. Political science is one of the social science disciplines that can be used to study the law.
