Hasbro is an American toy and game company, the second-largest such company in the world (after Mattel). Hasbro and its subsidiaries are responsible for some of the best-known American toys and games. The company was founded in 1923 by Henry and Helal Hassenfeld (the Has bros). Originally a textile company that also sold school supplies, in the 1940s it began offering toys to its school supply customers.
