THE GENETICS POLICY Institute (GPI) is a nonprofit education and advocacy organization whose primary purpose is to defend the rights of researchers to engage in stem cell research and the rights of patients to benefit from therapies developed through stem cell research. GPI is located in the United States, with headquarters in Wellington, Florida, and an office in Washington, D.C., but conducts research, education and policy activities on a worldwide scale.
